ARMA not starting on laptop (1.01)

Window appears with the following message:

"failed to read the shader cache file. Mising or broken shdc file? "

Has anyone experienced something like this? Laptop is brand new Compaq NX7400.

As indicated in the pinned thread if you expect help you must post your complete system specs, posting only your model number forces someone to have to do the research themselves and that's not acceptable.

According to here the gfx card on that laptop is "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with up to 224-MB shared system memory" is that correct? If that's the case then searching for Intel 950 would have led you to this thread which discusses how such a card is nor working in ArmA.

Its a bit different number model of gfx card, but its probably the same reason: crappy gfx chip. Ok, thanks for the info.

I am in the same boat with my XPS. Ill keep you posted if I find anything out.
