Frans 0 Posted December 11, 2006 Does anyone know how to get the topography command to work? (see Wiki) I get the message "Activating TOPOGRAPHY", but no file is created anywhere. Tried on a terrain detail of very low, low and normal, but no luck so far.
Snake Man 407 Posted December 11, 2006 Yes but did you try to look into the retarded Documents and Settings dir with the HIDDEN dirs also?
Frans 0 Posted December 11, 2006 I searched for files (*.*) with a changedate of today (well, yesterday) throughout my whole system, including hidden and system files. Nothing. Did you get it to work? If so, what are your settings?
UNN 0 Posted December 11, 2006 It might be something to do with this command: exportLandscapeXYZ According to the patch, it's now been disabled. Perhaps the pre-patched version of Arma will work?
Sniperwolf572 758 Posted December 11, 2006 Nope, the TOPOGRAPHY cheat works, tried it earlier today (had to enter TOPOGRAPHZ due to my keyboard settings I guess), although I think it only works on very low terrain setting. The file ends up on the root dir on C: drive, and it's named after the island extension.
jasono 0 Posted December 11, 2006 Quote[/b] ]Generates a map in vector format. The file is always created at the root directory of the C: drive. OK.. what does this mean? Does it create a file containing a replay kind of file of everyones movements?
Commando84 0 Posted December 11, 2006 doesn't topograph has something to do with maps or something?
Frans 0 Posted December 13, 2006 @Sniperwolf: It still won't work for me. Two questions: - What ArmA version did you try it in? I used German DVD version patched to 1.01, patched to English. - Did you install in in the default location? Mine is installed in D:\Arma I tried Ramadi as well as Sahrani, no luck on either. Too bad, I wanted to make a large print to use as a tactical map.

My ArmA is Czech version 1.01, also English patched, and install folder is H:\Games\ArmedAssault Try setting your terrain detail to very low, it might do the trick. Frans 0 Posted December 13, 2006 I tried terrain detail very low already. I'll try turning everything to very low settings, and if that fails, will reinstall and try 1.00. Update: I finally managed to get it working on Rahmadi. Sahrani still won't work. It might be because of the filesize, Rahmadi (intro.emf) was 40113 KB, so Sahrani might give a very large file. Free space on C: was 6,68 GB.
