xendance 3 Posted December 10, 2006 So I finally got my game, the german version of ArmA. After much drooling I set the DVD in the drive and set in the cd-key yaddayaddayadda.... It went fine except at uninstaller.exe it displays this http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/7848/asdfddsfvf1.png and then the installer rolls back leaving nothing installed. I tried extracting the data manually from the DVD but it didn't work. Screen just went black and then it returned to the desktop. I guess this is because I don't have the registry files installed. I know this isn't the german forum, but I can't understand german so I'm forced to ask help here. Any ideas how to make it install? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
fubarno1 0 Posted December 10, 2006 try removeing service pack 2, install the game, then re-install service pack 2, this was the only way I could install some games (right pia) finally had enough of the crap and reformated the HD, re- installed XP and SP2 and everything was fine there after. I never found out why SP2 was causing this problem (even tried re-installing SP2 prior to the format but that didn't work either) but by uninstalling SP2 I stopped getting the "Installation was Interupted" error.
