Convoy Ambush SP mission

What is the best or most sophisticated way to complete the convoy ambush mission. I am finding it quite difficult with the equipment loadout given.

I know you have to takke out the BMP's with the M138(?) but what about the Satchel? how so you take out three trucks with 1 satchel charge?

Some tips would be great.

Firstly, take the truck with you, it has tons of ammo.

My advice:

- Establish yourself somewhere secure to hide, ahead of where you will ambush the convoy, using the truck to cover your rear and preferably a house (you'll know which one I'm talking about) to cover one of your flanks - it makes taking out UAZ469 w. DShKs far easier, when they show up.

- Lay 5 satchel charges and a mine (it might help to stick two mines to ensure the BMP blows up) close enough together to knock out the 1st BMP and truck. Then, grab an M136 and 4 AT4s, and ensure you have 2 mags for your rifle - you'll need them if things go wrong. When the BMP whacks the mine, set off the charges. However, this should only have killed the 1st truck in the convoy - there will be three more to go.

- If you've set up in an appropriate area, all you'll have to do is wait for the remaining three trucks to wander into your sights. Beware of the UAZ/DShKs, as soon as the BMP goes up, they'll start heading towards you. Be warned, and whack them with your rifle or M136 should they show up.

- DO NOT 4X TO THE EXTRACTION POINT. You WILL be ambushed, there are troops wandering that area, so be very very very very darn careful.

First off I chose not to attack them at the spot indicated on the map. I went on to the little village where the UAZ is waiting , took the 2 soldiers out, put explosives on the road and went uphill at the end of the village and waited. When the convoi arrives and you got your things set up right just blow and you should have already taken out 90 percent of the convoi at once. Finish off the rest with AT weapons as they try to move on. Using the village as an ambush point limits the enemies options to move on and you get them served on a plate. Just make sure you get a lot of them with your charges. The rest is no problem.

I blew up the troop truck with a satchel, shot the guys in the UAZ and sat myself behind the steering wheel.then I chased the ammo trucks and fired at them till they blew.

one AT for the BMP and one satchel for the truck hiding in the forest. that's it...

I just blew the first bmp with the satchel, then shot the drivers in the trucks, blew up the troop-carrying truck with an AT4 and blew the second bmp with another AT4.

As I waited for the helicopter a few soldiers came, but they were easy enough to snipe

I went about it slightly different, I moved to truck up in the woods towrds the convoy. On my way there I placed a mine in the roadway in the spot indicated on the map. I then set up shop by the woods towards the direction the convoy is coming (to create a bottleneck) I used another mine and my launcher to blow up the tank/trucks -they all got jammed up in the woods and behind the exploded tank. I had also placed a satchel out on the road in front of my postion. One of the trucks unloaded their troops before i got a shot on it, but i just dropped low until the troops advanced then satcheled them. One truck did manage to haul out of there but they got toasted by the mine i placed earlier. I then burned out to the extraction point on foot, no enemies to be seen.

Just finished it again with one mine only. I rode to the village, killed the UAZ, put a mine at the end of village, placed all my los satchelos on main-road and tried to find a good spot for observation and engaging with 4 AT darts I had.

I guess I searched too long as the BMP popped up and I hid behind a house facing towards coast and a nice housecorner to hide.

BMP -> Mine ->Crew out, truck drives up to BMP -> BMP explodes, killing all crew-> truck explodes just from the blastwave -> all infantry dead. Trucks drive toward the sea and i kill them with AT from same hoursecorner where I was still hiding-> 2nd BMP goes frantic -> I get onto second floor -> I kill second BMP, that´s it !

The ambush lastet about 2 minutes.

And all that because I was not able to detonate the satchels as I was too close to them.

Next time I kill them with my bare hands !

i did it about the same way. i placed a mine at the exit of the town and several satchel charges on the road through the town. i also placed the remaining two mines near the entrance of the town, in the grass to the left of the road, so that the vehicles drive right over them when they try to drive around the village to avoid the wrecks.

then i hid behind the first house (the one that is open) at the entrance of the town, fully armed with about 4 M-136 rockets and some M-4 magazines.

i wait until the first BMP is destroyed by the mine, then i blow the charges. they destroyed 2 or 3 trucks. some of the remaining trucks tried to drive around the village to their left but hit the mines instead.

i shot the second BMP with the M-136 through the hallway of the house , and blew the last truck with another rocket.

with a number of surviving enemy troops hot on my trail, i ran to the extraction point, the occasional shot flying past me...

I did it with the standard ammo.

I ambush them at the woods to the right, placed a charge and cross the van in the road, when the 1st BMP hited my van I RPG him, and trigger the charge in the troops truck, then I RPG the 2 BMP , and killed the drivers on the other trucks with M4

i like reading the unorthodox ways people use. i parked the truck in the heavy wood area to stop the convoy and rambo'ed the rest. at that time it seemed like the only way
