Check if mine is deactivated

Recommended Posts

I've been looking and looking but i can't figure out how to check if say mine1 is deactivated then trigger something like mine deactivated... smile_o.gif im working on some engineer type of mission where you need to clear a road full of mines so it would be very helpful to know.

The standard OFP mine turns a bit into ground if deactivated.

Just FYI wink_o.gif

no i meant like in the mission editor biggrin_o.gif and with a risc of sounding noobish but what is FYI? in one of my missions i put out 5-10 mines on a road and the objective will be to clear the road of mines and of course stay out of grenades and bullets flying around you whistle.gif

so i need some triggers to detect if mines are deactivated...

FYI = for your info

What JW is trying to tell you is that deactivated mines

might not be on the same height level as activated ones.

Though i dunno if it makes a difference when you

getpos mine_xx, and i can't try unil next wednsday

but maybe you can. wink_o.gif

well i don't know i like to try to keep to keep it simple with triggers and waypoints and sometimes throw in a a.i script. i got some limited scripting skillz so thats why im wondering about any trigger commands for that. i've been checking the comref for deactivate and stuff but im getting more sure maybe it can't be done.

Mines are horrible objects in OFP. They do not obey most normal commands. I strongly recommend you have nothing to do with them. What you describe should be easy, in fact it is hard.

This recent thread at OFPEC will shed some light on the matter.

I've seen it done in a mission, but I dont think the author used a trigger, I believe he used a script, but I couldn't tell you what author or mission or how he did that, but there is a way...
