As you can see in this photo, that I can see the other X-4 model in the back ground... but not the OH58... I can see tanks and airplanes... but not other HELIS... weird... what could cause this... it is just the HELIS that have this problem.... Some helpful people answered.... AtStWalker 0 Posted September 4, 2006 Quote[/b] ]How do you choose just the inner side? 1) Select the poly 2) "Face" menu -> "Face Properties" 3) Select Faces -> Select only one face (look the pic showed below) 4) Click "Create Selection" (look the arrow on the pic showed below) 5) Click "Apply" At
-FHA-Frodo 0 Posted September 4, 2006 I FOUND MY PROBLEM... the alpha channel on the texture was colored too dark... for some reason, making the alpha channel a little lighter, (which makes the cockpit a little less transparent)... was making the helicopters not show up... now it is fixed... will be added to a new release... -FHA-Frodo 0 Posted September 4, 2006 I take it back... but it does have something to do with the texture...
nephilim 0 Posted September 4, 2006 retry it as me and atst walker advised you if you select a pair of faces that point in 2 directions you can change between the selected one by pressing shift+w somtimes you have to press it multiple times
-FHA-Frodo 0 Posted September 5, 2006 I am at work now, so I can't check to see if it works. But I have been looking at some other models, and found out that the GLASS parts of the cockpit are each SEPARATE OBJECTS. They are not part of the frame of the cockpit. My model above has ONE object for the entire front half of the fuselage. I simply ALPHA out the WINDSHIELD sections in the texture. If I apply a WINDSHIELD texture only, where the entire image is ALPHA'd it works... So... when I get home, I will make the areas that are to be transparent, each separate objects. Your thoughts? -FHA-Frodo 0 Posted September 6, 2006 OK.. the above did not work... I have had to re-design the entire forward half of my model... and still nothing. What I have done at this point, is to create a cockpit without the glass... I then created the panels as separate objects and placed them where they should go... at first single sided... which did not work, then double sided... which did not work either. I am at my wits end. I am having the same issues... all other vehicles I can see through the glass... why not the HELI'S... what makes then so special? I have a very compulsive personality, and will be up many nights trying to figure this out... but in the mean time, I will post my project files here..(later on tonight)... in the hopes that someone can shed some light...
