Textures problem

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

My problem seems to be a quite simple, but I haven’t found the solution, like since some years, I work my texture on Photoshop 7, then I save my PSD and export it in TGA (32/pixel) and I open it on TextView. No problem for the moment, but it’s after… I open WRPTools, and this is my surprise:

003.jpg

So it's not the first time, I make a try with it, but this once, the problem is real sad_o.gif

002.jpg001.jpg

My PAA file is fully read by TextView, not by WRPTools and OFP Engine. So if someone have the solution, I will be happy, during this time, I continu make some try with differents parameters.

In anyway, thanks, for reading this topic, and also for the answer if you have it biggrin_o.gif

Have a good day.

List of tests that have been already made:

Order of use :

Photoshop -> TextView -> WRPTools

Export TGA => 32bits/Pixels without RLE compress PAA Wrong Not read by WRPTools

Export TGA => 24bits/Pixels without RLE compress PAA Wrong Not read by WRPTools

Export TGA => 16bits/Pixels without RLE compress PAA Wrong Not read by WRPTools

Export TGA => 32bits/Pixels without RLE compress PAC Wrong Not read by WRPTools

Export TGA => 24bits/Pixels without RLE compress PAC Wrong Not read by WRPTools

Export TGA => 16bits/Pixels without RLE compress PAC Wrong Not read by WRPTools

Export TGA => 32bits/Pixels with RLE compress Wrong Not read by TextView

Export TGA => 24bits/Pixels with RLE compress Wrong Not read by TextView

Export TGA => 16bits/Pixels with RLE compress Wrong Not read by TextView

Export JPG => without ICC PAA Wrong Not read by WRPTools

Export JPG => with ICC PAA Wrong Not read by WRPTools

Well, conclusion number 1, I have absolutly no idea of the location of the problem, now, I will get a try with PAATools, but I'am not dreaming, the result will probably the same.

Order of use :

Photoshop -> PAATools -> WRPTools

The same result, now, I don't know what I can try sad_o.gif

Hello all,

Friend, moderators, you can close this topic, I have my solution, it's a quit simple ^^.

In fact, WRPTools like ofp can't read any files textures that have more than 8 characters in their names.

Thanks to Sparky wink_o.gif

Have a good day, and thanks to all thumbs-up.gif

Edition rules for WRP textures :

Exportation of the TGA :

32 bits without RLE compression

Then, the file name will be not more longer than 8 "caracters"

Example :

12345678.paa biggrin_o.gif Just that biggrin_o.gif

a1b1c1d1.paa
