evilnate 0 Posted August 11, 2006 Sri Lanka Crisis I was reading the INTL news this morning and noticed Sri Lanka has some similarities with Sahrani. The political situation isn't quite the same but to me it seems like the boys at BIS got some inspiration from this crisis? The setting definatly seems close. http://www.srilankatourism.org/downloa....611.pdf
llauma 0 Posted August 11, 2006 It's more like a compressed Korea. The situation in Sri Lanka doesn't really have anything in common with Sahrani. The only thing that's similar is that Sri Lanka is an island with a conflict.
PeterEyres 0 Posted August 12, 2006 I immediately thought of Korea. Communist North, Liberal Capitalist South. We might get tired of the whole LibCap v Commie thing one day. fer 21 Posted August 14, 2006 The struggle between capitalism and socialism/communism is still current in some parts of the world. Hrast 0 Posted August 14, 2006 Has some paralels with East Timor. A tiny state stretching through half of an island gets invaded by his big neigbour stretching through the rest of that island and the whole archipelago around it. Except that happened in the 70s.
