There was one on the DKM site. Really easy step by step tut packed in a zip. Would be a shame if noone would have it anymore

ROBINO 0 Posted June 29, 2006 dont use suspension scripts they cause vehicles to vibrate wildly sometimes and occasionally I find it impossible to turn my engine off i hate suspension scripts to the extent that i was thinking of opening up the DKM addons and ripping them out manually suspension scripts are the epitamy of the idiot addon maker that doensn't realise when his addon is finished. I suspect they spent so much time developing the script that they thought 'what the hell' and put it in anyway. They ARE clever of course, but they add absolutely nothing to the game. I HATE SUSPENSION SCRIPTS
Gedis 0 Posted June 29, 2006 hate? these scripts are very cool! especialy for tracked vehicles... i had no problems with vehicles, scripted with this script

I HATE SUSPENSION SCRIPTS It is odd, then, that so many addon makers have chosen to add them to their addons. There are issues with the scripts in Multiplayer, other than that a slow computer is the most common cause of most issues with the scripts.
Rhodite 3 Posted June 29, 2006 The suspension scripts (if setup incorrectly) can be problematic. However once setup correctly they behave excellently, the only issue they can cause is (to my knowledge) is load on the cpu server or client. I have seen them being switched off to cater for larger missions to allow for a greater number of units and so forth.
j w 0 Posted June 29, 2006 EDIT: nvm I do get that problem, in MGjeeps (also CBT HMMWV w/ guns), that if I am gunner, and there is no driver, (the engine is off), the vehicle starts to shake. Never happened in a mission, just when playing around in Mission Editor, so I don't really care

Bug reports, such as Robino's would be better placed in the Bug Reports section of the DKM forums, a link to which is in my sig.
Ironsight 1 Posted June 29, 2006 Jaguar, can you upload the tut to the DKM site so everyone can find it over there? Personally I never had any problems with vehicle suspension.
