klavan 0 Posted March 23, 2006 Hi all. I don't know how to handle this kind of textures: It's a BIS texture, part of the well known Nogovian bridge, and i need it for a model i'm creating. However i need only a portion of it, but i don't know how to do it. There are alot of such textures in the various OFP data folders and i would like to use 'em instead of creating new textures from zero, but i've tried and i tried again withouth result: every time the face is mapped with the complete texture instead of only the part i need. I've found some tuts about texturing, but non one seems to cover this particular aspect. Thanks for the help. Klavan
Ironsight 1 Posted March 24, 2006 Explain what part you need to texture. If I understand your problem correct it basically works like this. This is how the texture is mapped on the BIS bridge: The rest of the texture is sampled on the model. So it goes on and on on the rest of the bridge. You only need one small texture then. It's a bit hard to explain so I hope it's clear now. EDIT: Here's a visualistion of how Oxygen thinks when it's mapping textures: http://img68.imageshack.us/img68....MG] Hope this helps.
