Twinke Masta 0 Posted March 28, 2006 Gnat @ Mar. 27 2006,13:09)] Hey Twinke Masta, great work so far! Looking very good! Perhaps you could contact the guys from Falkland-Mod. They have a diving-script for their "Santa Fe", would be great for your Typhoon. Together with the COC-Torpedos it would make a fantastic addon! WEll i can leave that to the compiler, I am looking for someone who can get this in game for me, I can do all the 3d and 2d parts requied but i can't do anymore than that really, since I can't compile as aforementioned OK Twinke, do 2 other lower detail LODs for the Typhoon, one @ about 2/3 as many points/faces and 1/2 size/resolution textures, then another maybe at 1/3 points/faces and 1/4 size/resolution textures ...... With those 3 plus some "inside" LODs we can do a make a start on compiling ..... Sing out when you are there. Sorry, no inside pics of the typhoon ..... or many other subs will do <
Silent N Deadly 0 Posted March 28, 2006 Actually for the Resolution LODs there should be like 5 or 6 lods, each sequential lod containing roughly 1/2 the amount of faces/detail. And also go easy on the textures since really big texture files will cause lag. VERY nice model btw! I bet it will look excellent in OFP. Nice work!

I don't think we were planing to sell it to VBS or BIS Sure, 5 or so is good, but its a sub at the 2nd or 3rd LOD is likely to have less detail than a bloody M1A1's 6th order LOD ! Ohhh, BTW Twinke, remember all textures have to have dimensions that are to the order of 2. ie 128x256, 128x512 etc An don't worry about too much detail below the waterline, very unlikely to be seen.
