midtower58 0 Posted March 16, 2006 Mainly EA/DICE if they have anything to do with publishing this game, I am out. I have been a OFP avid player since the game first came out. I have to admit it was the best, except for the paper like tree's, etc. But I bought all the OFP games and still have them. I would rather just have a CD and not have anyone else control my game. That's what STEAM does and EA/DICE ARE DOING. They have a monopoly on the BF2 game series. I want to control when I play, not when they want me to or allow me to the play. That is rediculous to say the least. It has gotten way out hand and they control to much. I just hope that BI (OFP) uses some common sense and not go the way EA/DICE or STEAM have gone. The consumer should have control of their product they purchase. That's my 1 bucks worth.
dmakatra 1 Posted March 16, 2006 EA publishes mainstream games. OFP/ArmA isn't mainstream. I wouldn't worry too much about EA publishing ArmA.

martinovic 0 Posted March 16, 2006 Quote[/b] ]But what about STEAM? Steam sucks, why do you ask? Aaaanyway, EA does grant one or two companies a good game or two then they buy said companies and then start crapping out Rainbow Six: Las Vegas type things en masse. On the note of RS:LS, Tom Clancy should be rolling in his grave (and someone should put him in his grave). j/k But Tom C really is a sellout. The best copy protection would be a USB key or dongle or whatever they call those, would keep the damn kids away from the game, as most of the leet dudes are using pirated copies of games they "own" at, even though they don't literally own said games which i find ironic. Placebo 29 Posted March 16, 2006 There's an active Steam thread, if you wish to use that feel free, rants about one publisher or another are really quite pointless.
