RAF Puma

No, that's a really big job. For now I'm gonn work on my own Tiger meet 2006 version. I want it so thatyou could still use it in a mission. A big orange helicopter could only really be used as candy in Flashpoint I reckon so whilst I want to have a little fun, I want it to be practible too.

I think you are missing the point (or I am) if you want to use Tiger Meet colours in missions.

I don't want to use them in missions I just want the possibility of being able to use it. Say the mission maker wants a big assed group of Pumas buzzing around for whatever reason. He might want to have different schemes. I wanted the Tiger one to be usable as well as pretty.

Maybe I'm not explaining it well.

The-Architect, did you ask OFrP's authorisation for this retexturing ?

If not, I'm not sure you're allowed to post these screenshots.

OFrP's policy on exterior use of OFrP's models is very strict.

Chris Young - OFrP Partner. smile_o.gif

I got permission a very long time ago when the pack was first released. However, that's irrelevant as the Frenchpoint pack wasn't the one I downloaded to do these skins. Although it may be the Frenchpoint model, the pack I have here is the IkaR pack. I have not asked him as I don't intend to release it any time in the near future.

Ok, I did not know. IkaR is from the OFrP Team, he released a version as freelance after leaving the team but he has now come back. I just wanted to tell you that it is not always easy to get an authorisation from OFrP. Since you already got the permission, that should be no problem. smile_o.gif

Chris Young.

Mostly I tried to give it panel lines where panel lines were meant to be and add all the little dots and dimples the Merlin has. I couldn't do as much as I wanted because of the way some textures were applied to the model. The gear area for example. The texture is wrapped around both but offset so ant texture would look ok on one but competely terrible on the other. I wanted to be able to skin both sides too but the wrap wouldn't let me. One texture for both sides.

Here's the bottom of the ingame Merlin compared with real life.

I would love to have this thing in ARMA! whistle.gif

With even better textures! crazy_o.gif

And you can see some difference in the shape of the hull of the aircraft. Between both pictures.

This is nice downloading... thumbs-up.gif
