Silverguy82 0 Posted February 28, 2006 Howdy folks, me and a bud are developing a sniper rifle. We have everything set up and ready to go, we even have the proper reticle needed for the scope. We do have one major problem though. we need the rifle to be "zero'd" (sighted) in at 600 m for ofp (in other words we need for when you aim the gun...at 600 m the gun hits dead center where the crosshairs meet). my bud tried changing the Y axis in the program he is using to get the gun sighted in...but when he did this, the X axis lines and dots (it's a mil dot reticle) changed as well. Thus making the crosshair looking disproportional. Here is a what it looks like right now.... notice the horizontal line is far below where it should be. Anyone have any suggestions on how to sight in a gun in ofp or fixing this problem? Thanks.
Fab. 0 Posted March 1, 2006 in the weapon cfg config you can set the distance at which the sight is zeroed in... i'm 100% sure about this; although i'm not sure about the name of that particular property, i think its distanceZoomMin=400; and distanceZoomMax=400; (thats the default values)
