HotShot 0 Posted January 28, 2006 Makes Flashpoint look like Half Life 2 graphics wise. Its not as good as i had expected. Still fun, but not great. I have however only been able to play as Infantry as i cant use my Joystick (game doesn't seem to recognise it - any ideas why this could be?) and cant set Speed up and such controls as Keyboard keys. It was great to watch the battle scenes. Seing a spitfire fly down a river over a bridge, with a few infantry on the banks, boats on the river, and then an enemy plane come past following the spitfire and they both fly about shooting in the sky with flak around them. Pretty cool. Didn't see a enemy soldier though.

ebns72 0 Posted January 31, 2006 been playing this game...forever now, I'm a veteran of the game. I love it. graphivs aren't very good for the amount they tax, but you do get used to it and they ARE functional. The game has some of the best trees and foliage I have ever seen though (uses speedtree engine). The game is a lot of fun once you get used to it. A lot of people don't know where to find action at first and are discouraged by this (above poster said he hadnt seen an enemy infantry yet). Once you get into the thick of an emormous battle with a squad of communicating guys, it gets very realistic and intense. If you know where to look, trust me, you'll find a scary amount of ei...especially when you're a paratrooper who just landed in the middle of enemy barracks (it has happened to me before) Its like ofp on a continental scale...its a fully simulated war. I recommend any ofp fan giving it a shot. The game has so much depth and dynamics past its fiscod. It does a lot of things better than ofp too, namely the vehicle models (tank combat is the most realistic I've ever seen, ever) flight models and damage model is lightyears better than ofps. korax 4 Posted January 31, 2006 This is a fun game, if you have the patience for it. Most of the time you wont know who killed you or where he was, but eventually you get used to it. And if you do play, dont limit yourself to infantry! Some of my best missions were by taking a 2 pounder AT gun, setting up near town, and waiting for the enemy attack. Example I dont have an actual account, but I love to come back and play during the free trials.
