lukemax 0 Posted January 20, 2006 Hi all Im haveing problems with OFP, im not sure how or what brought this on but it out of memort liek thiws topic: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=50172 However i have gone through all of these fix's and links and have added the nosplash and also reduceing the viewdistance to a bare minimum Other then that its either a addon causeing problems or i have to do a clean reinstallation of OFP This has happened once before and in both cases it because of have made a new map and put it in to test however even removeing it nothing changes Can addons cause this? Heatseeker 0 Posted January 21, 2006 Excessive addon instalation and very high terrain and visibility settings may cause it, if this is the case you can search the fix in the forum but unlike Placebo believes there are other things that can create this type of error ( freeze and crash) . In my specific case using GF6 and late FW drivers i have to disable Vsync and i mean not setting it to application controled but turning it off. I dont have my old flashpoint.RPT file unfortunetly but the error in the log difered using XP SP1 or SP2. So if you have this problem and cant solve removing addons, reinstaling the game and other sugestions posted in the forum i sugest you try to disable vsync, it worked for me .
