Two game discs, two software keys: HELP!!

Ok, I have the original OFP game disc....Then I wanted to get the Resisitance and Red Hammer Addons, so i bought GOTY version off ebay...

Now, i want to give a friend my original OFP....

Problem is, I stored the two instruction manuals together without marking which one went with which disc.

That means I dont know which software key (which is on the back page of the manuals), goes with which disc....

When I try to install the software, either key seems to work...

Does this mean any legit software key will work with any legit game disc, or are the keys actually meant to be used with a unique game disc?

I dont want to give him a disc and key, and end up screwing us both later on...

Is there any way to tell which key will work with its matching disc?

Yes, no.

Simple to test, you only have to start the install routine that will ask for the key. Than you will see if the key belongs to the inserted cd or not.

Any legitimate CD key will work with any legitimate copy of OFP. The only difference was the Resistance standalone (i.e. not GOTY) expansion, which used a different type of CD key.

In any case, we really prefer people not discuss CD keys and such on the forums. Such conversations usually start out innocently enough, but often end up slipping into warez discussion.
