  1. Ok, I have the original OFP game disc....Then I wanted to get the Resisitance and Red Hammer Addons, so i bought GOTY version off ebay... Now, i want to give a friend my original OFP.... Problem is, I stored the two instruction manuals together without marking which one went with which disc. That means I dont know which software key (which is on the back page of the manuals), goes with which disc.... When I try to install the software, either key seems to work... Does this mean any legit software key will work with any legit game disc, or are the keys actually meant to be used with a unique game disc? I dont want to give him a disc and key, and end up screwing us both later on... Is there any way to tell which key will work with its matching disc? Thanx!

    GOTY Help

Hi Grant.... Being as how I'm pretty new at OFP also, I have a suggestion... Since you have GOTY edit, I would play the 1985 campaign as is, straight out of the box. Or at least, most of the single player missions. Then, play Y2K3 with the Resistance campaign.... Then, start downloading and checking out more of the addons/mods. I had just the Cold War Crisis edition, and when i found out about all the mods and addons, it seemed (and still does) a bit overwhelming.... I would start with a good, solid mod first, to get the feel for the awesome extras that are available to improve the out of the box OFP experience. By running just one good mod, rather than downloading tons of addons/missions, you can get a feel for how they should be installed, and stored in some kind of coherent order on your HD, rather than just jumping in with a ton of them. In a way, I'm thinking it was probably easier for the old hands here when OFP was new.....They only had a few addons/mods at a time, and got to grow with the OFP community. Being a newbie now, it can seem overwhelming with literally hundreds, if not thousands of addons/mods available all at once.... Well, thats my .02$....
  3. Just finished Counterstrike for the first time. I ended up sticking around after the gunships show up, and took them both down. One with an RPG and the other with an M2. I see that they dont show up in my mission statistics as kills... Also, when I start the next mission, I am missing tons of weapons. (Yeah, i know, I read about this bug in a walkthru) ;) Oh well.....

    "Scrap" - Repairing and refueling???

Thanx macguba! Man, once you get the tanks and trucks, i swear the AI goes stupid..... I had a heck of a time trying to get 3 other tanks, the BMP, and the 4 trucks back to Mokropsy....The AI banged up one of the Ural Repairs so bad, it died right at the bottom of the hill into Mokropsy. I found out I was able to use the other repair truck to repair it, tho... Thanx again
  5. OK, I'm in the middle of "Scrap", and when I order any of my tanks to repair, they go over to the Ural Repair, and in a couple seconds say "waiting"....But in the action menu, it still shows they need to repair.....Same thing with refueling....Rearming works though... Also, when I drive a tank next to the Ural Repair or fuel barrels, and select reapir in my action menu, the word "repairing" appears, but it takes forever, and never goes away....Same thing with refueling..... Any ideas? oh yeah, i'm running 1.96....

What do you play Ofp with?

Well, you've got me beat on the processor.... I'm running Win 98SE on a PII 400Mhz... I think I've got the slowest processor here so far. I've got you beat on RAM @ 512MB PC100, 128MB ATI Radeon 8500, running at 2X AGP and an old Aureal Vortex 2 soundcard, tho..... One of these days I'm gonna have to figure out what my framerates are like....
