MrLaggy 0 Posted January 22, 2002 Silly, but unless the Harry Potter books actually explain the historical background (I haven't seen the movie or read the book so I don't know) I'd be surprised if many people outside America know what "the Philosopher's Stone" is. As for Mad Max, I just got the new region-1 DVD so I'm looking forward to finally seeing the movie with the American soundtrack I've heard so much about! madmike 0 Posted January 22, 2002 I got mad max: the road warrior on DVD last week because it hasnt been shown on TV for about 6 years. I dont like the thunderdome and I cant remember much of the first one. Road warrior was the best of them. (I mean what the hell is a sorceror's stone anyway?). I dont think this is necessarily a poor reflection on the intellect of the American public, but more of a reflection on what idiots avertising gurus can be.
