edfromballarat 0 Posted October 8, 2005 hi all, I am having problems getting FFUR - Woodland pack (the latest beta) to run: short version: error message "needs bis_resistance mod" then crashes. Long version: - I am running OFP with Resistance patched to v1.96 on Windows XP with direct X 9. My computer is an Athlon 1700, 512mb RAM, GeForce 4 TI 64mb. - Firstly, on installing FFUR, the shortcut it made on the desktop named "FFUR" or similar was to the uninstall file. When I checked the FFUR directory, there was two executables, both of which started the uninstall script! I went to the homepage FAQ, and it recommended creating a shortcut to resistance with the arguments on the end to start the FFUR mod. - So I did this. Upon running the file the first time the preferences screen comes up, but the first scroll down box is empty. I put in the preferences and press start..... and nothing happens. Then I start the program again, and I get an error message "[something].pbo requires bis_resistance mod to run" even though I have resistance installed. Then I press okay, the screen changes to black, and then I get the windows abnormal termination box of death. I tried resetting, changing the compatibility, but this keeps happening. Is my computer too old to run FFUR? Do I need to install other mods? I have tried deleting the game and then reinstalling it clean because I had CLSA and FDF mods installed, but this made no difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thunderbird 0 Posted October 9, 2005 Welcome. Forget that beta and wait for the upcoming packs, make sure you'll read everything here. You won't have to deal again with such problems in the incoming packs, wait and see. Regards Thunderbird84
