Wobble 1 Posted January 17, 2002 why is it that no matter how skilled I make my AI when I tell them to go somewhere they dont go straight.. insted they zig zag all over the damn place... its annoyijng.. even if i set them to 'safe' they still do this... WHY WHY WHY!?!??!?! heheh, jk... but anyone know why they do that?
Damage Inc 0 Posted January 17, 2002 I've thought about this too, it really makes commanding a tank a pain in the ass.
762WorldOrder 0 Posted January 17, 2002 Don't ever let the AI drive you. Â If you're commander, switch to the driver's seat yourself (when standing still) and you can still call out targets to your gunner using the crosshair and a right click on the mouse button. Â This way you can tear ass in your tank at full speed (while knifing straight through the enemy or moving parallel to them) and your gunner can shoot everything in sight. Mister Frag 0 Posted January 17, 2002 I couldn't agree more with the criticism of the AI drivers. I find that if I'm using an AI driver (generally a bad idea) and I want him to go left, I actually have to give him a command to go right. He'll steer the tank to the right for a moment, and then overcompensate, and wind up pointing the tank to the left of where he started. Â During war time, I'd shoot someone like that for dereliction of duty or sabotage.

B: and most important.. in most my missions which take place on desert malden you have a viewdistance of over 2000m.. the problem is that no matter how good the AI it will not fire at a target past 800M...
