hoot 0 Posted August 19, 2005 sounds real strange! i have just forwarded the 2 needed ofp ports (so not the gamespyports) and i don't report my ip to gamespy. however, the server at home is working fine and is listed on the ingamebrowser and the allseeingeye... which network protoc. did you have forwarded? udp and/or tcp? Rhodite 3 Posted August 24, 2005 Where are you trying to connect to it from? Internally on your LAN? or from outside via the internet?
crashdome 3 Posted August 25, 2005 Sounds more like the ded server wasn't created properly (i.e. some files are missing or incorrect versions maybe) Did you install the ded server according to the instructions? I had similar issue way way way back on v1.91 or earlier ... turns out I had missed copying some files over. Server launched but could not start a game. Balke 0 Posted September 9, 2005 2302, 2303, and all the gamespy ports. Sorry to dig up an old thread, but i find this better than making new one. I have similiar problem, my servers shows up only in my lan list. But when i give my hostname to other people they can connect like normally. So im asking, what are those gamespy ports?
