Placebo 31 Posted August 15, 2005 I hope its not some type of virus or spyware... Why didn't you scan for virus/spyware before making the post? If you can't post more information about the crash along with your system specs then it's unlikely anyone will help.
VaiHalen 0 Posted September 8, 2005 Hi! I have the same problem as you, OFP crashes always with the same error message. I have tried all possible solutions! I remember I have this same problem time ago. And It go away by resetting the BIOS using the Cmos feature in the mother board. But now It does not work. OFP remains CTD with the error message. Atlon xp2000 ATI 9600 xt, catalyst 5.8 Audigy 2 ZS latest drivers 1024 RAM Thanks.
Placebo 31 Posted September 9, 2005 What error message?
VaiHalen 0 Posted September 9, 2005 The error says: "Operation Flashpoint has encountered an error and needs to close". I accept and brings me back to desktop.
VaiHalen 0 Posted September 18, 2005 I'm almost sure it's related to a refresh rate problem. I have varius games witch in the grachic options have the option to configure the refresh rate along with the resolution. And they CTD. Please someone with an ATI card can explain me how they configure the refresh rate in windows just after install the display driver (assuming OFP is working well for those lol)? I install the monitor driver after the ATI driver actually, and no joy. I tried without the monitor driver and problem persist. I have refresh force running and no running: Â the problem persist. Tried all refresh rates in OFP and same bad result. Perdon for bad english and thanks.
Placebo 31 Posted September 19, 2005 I have a Radeon card and change the refresh rate no problem, you are installing the control panel and not just the driver right?
Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted September 19, 2005 try use the same refresh rate in windows and in ofp

Yes, I install the driver and the Control Panel. It's better not to install the Control Panel?

One quite simple thing to try is the Omega drivers, be sure to remove your old drivers properly, remove them using add/remove programs, then use Drivercleaner to remove any last trace before installing the new drivers. Thanks, I will install the Omega drivers, and let you know. but still it's strange been able to run OFP in the past without a single problem with ATI catalyst and now having those CTD. And yes, I use always Driver Cleaner removing all traces of drivers in safe mode after uninstall in add/remove programs.
VaiHalen 0 Posted September 22, 2005 Tried the Omega drivers, catalyst 4.12, 5.6, 5.7, 5.8, 5.9, and the error continue. May be it's a hardware problem.
Placebo 31 Posted September 22, 2005 May be it's a hardware problem. Does sound that way, all other drivers are updated? What motherboard do you have? Anything overclocked?
VaiHalen 0 Posted September 22, 2005 May be it's a hardware problem. Does sound that way, all other drivers are updated? What motherboard do you have? Anything overclocked? Motherboard is a Soltek SL-75DRV5, KT 333 with 4 in 1 VIA drivers (tried latest and earliers and same error). I updated the BIOS, and error continue. Latest drivers for Audigy 2 ZS. Nothing overcloked.
