-TFF- NEO 0 Posted January 15, 2002 How do you use the voice chat in OFP? (When you press Caps Lock there is a mark by the chat window and a soldier's head symbolising that he's screaming.)
Damage Inc 0 Posted January 15, 2002 Maybe you press Caps Lock and talk to the microphone?

R. Gerschwarzenge 0 Posted January 15, 2002 Nope. They hear you when you have caps-lock on. They don't need to have caps-lock on. But I can't remember do the others have to go through the voice chat setup to be able to listen.

I haven't done it, how do I do it?
R. Gerschwarzenge 0 Posted January 15, 2002 Launch OFP-Preferences and the setup button should be there on the right side of the window somewhere. If you can't find the button from the right side of the window then it's on your other right.
theavonlady 2 Posted January 15, 2002 This and some more info about OFP's VON can be found at The FAQ, by searching for "von".

Looking at your avatar, you could use a little of Avon's Black & Blue Eye Shadow.
-TFF- NEO 0 Posted January 16, 2002 I've tried this voice chat alittle, and it's crap. You hear a weird, maybe alittle metallic, sound... well, the sound actually reminds be of hard metallic bubbles... To read a voice with this is impossible. Is it like this for all of you? What is wrong?
theavonlady 2 Posted January 16, 2002 Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not. Have you considered trying Roger Wilco for voice com while playing OFP?

Could use MSN Messenger, though I'll only be able to talk to one at a time. Darn that this Voice Chatting isn't good. Should try it with someone else perhaps, if it's just my friend who has some trouble with his mic...
Mister Frag 0 Posted January 16, 2002 Have you tried updating the sound card drivers? I've never had any real problems with the quality of the sound, although at times the EAX effects seem to get applied to the voice channel.
sergeant rock 3 Posted January 16, 2002 Try TEAMSOUND. Â I've found the sound quality and interface to beat the pants off Roger Wilco. Â Very clear and reliable. Â Check it out.
