Are there any of those left? I mean groups that regulary play co-op games?

I would be interested in trying that. I've mostly tried the random server thing but it isn't as fun.

yep, i can recommend the CiA server, too. you can play exciting and long coops there, without respawn and most times without kiddies (= when i am not there ).

Havent checked the page yet but are there scheduled events as well? I would like something with a good dedicated squad leader where you can play a grunt of sorts .

A bit like real military excersises. That's the optimal imho.

You should probably check out VS-UK as well Nice guys, they play coops and non-respawning A&D maps mainly.

Add volcbat to that list too, mainly using UK stuff. Current theme of our missions seems to be war on terror . Aiming on realism we have.

all carrying resalistic loadouts and following proper rules of engagement. No respawn either. Ded server, private comms.

I have a decent connection and no English speaking difficulties(well not as good as native of course).

CiA server is up on sunday and wednesday evenings GMT+1, just hop by sometime. Make sure you have FDF and the likes installed though, all the addons needed are listed on the CiA site and in the thread mentioned above.

Last (and only) time i was in a clan was when I played Infiltration in Unreal Tournament . That was before OFP of course.

We have no dress code at CiA, but on a serious note you should have a faible for teamplay, don´t look at the killboard every two seconds and have the willingness to move within a group and operate within a group, even if that means that you can´t shoot everyone on sight or go wandering alone.

Maybe you can get a peek tomorrow. Try to get the addons we use and just join us for a game or two.

Since the only time I have for gaming is very late, that's usually the case .

I'm no expert OFP player since I mostly use it to simulate various situations but I am most definatelly a team oriented person.

The problem you described allways happens when I try a random server. Everyone runs in random directions and I end up alone without a clue where everyone is. That never happened in the army (unless we were drunk).

Regular co-ops, realism set at high, lots of training and ops to ensure you know real life core infantry skills. British based, using British tactics and drills, with British Para platoon/section structure and ranks (none of that half the squad being major or whatever.).

Means you have to take orders and operate as part of a unit, so its not all that casual, but its alot of fun, everyone has a laugh, and people find themselves suprised to be enjoying conducting Section Battle Drills and other such things that they thought would be a drag. If your ex military youll almost definately enjoy it If your not, but quite like military stuff (your average OFP player), ditto.
