LizardX 0 Posted April 21, 2005 G'day people, got a very irritating problem. I use PS7 and I'm not able to save a .tga file with a working alpha channel. When I want to save the picture, there is always the problem that I can only save it "as a copy", without its transparency. Well, it's the same if I want to use .gif. There was a total XP-reinstall, but in the past I could make a working alpha... maybe a Photoshop mofo could help me, I've searched a lot of PS help forums and such but couldn't find an answer... Thx in advance! Well, I had the same problem with 7. I believe there is a patch for it, but why bother. Download GIMP (very small file) and use it for alpha channel (very easy). hardrock 1 Posted April 21, 2005 Nah you gotta download the patch which enables Alpha channels in .tga files, for some reason this functionality was removed in version 7. I'll try to find you a link.
