havocsquad 0 Posted April 7, 2005 Hey all, I'm trying to import my warship .3ds models into O2, but every time I try without modifying it I get "no object found" error. Â I load the .3ds in another program and convert everything to mesh, but then I get an error saying "KFDATA section missing". Â What do I need to do in order to properly import it? Thanks. Later, Havoc.

havocsquad 0 Posted April 11, 2005 Well, I downloaded Anim8or 0.9.  Then imported the .3ds in Anim8or, then... The 3ds files need to have enabled the Dummy KFDATA Sections in order to get opened without probs in O2, otherwise O2 will crash. I believe 3Dstudio Max has that function. If not there are free modeling programs like animator that can import 3ds and export 3ds with that function. After that O2 will import the 3ds file  Now I have a great and highly detailed Arliegh Burke DDG model in O2 now and figuring out how to impliment her since she's so long and big. The skin looks a little crude since it was for a small model with scale changed to about 5 times as large.

[aps]gnat 28 Posted May 20, 2005 figuring out how to impliment her since she's so long and big. Use Philcommandos tricks, divide into several different models and script it together.
