mrbean1112 0 Posted March 2, 2005 hey all, i have a question. this is my motherboard http://www.hardcoreware.net/reviews/review-97-5.htm i am trying to overclock the processor. (Amd Duron) but it wont work. i have tried to change the multipliers. but no matter what, it says the same exact thing. I remember reading somewhere you needed to unlock the cpu or something? but it sounded pretty confusing. if anyone can help me... would be much obliged. (I tried to overclock using the fsb, but it wasnt good enough, since i could only do it by like 2 mhz) ok, i have a nice loud fan that isnt doin too much, so i wanna overclock. Plz help. Mr_Tea 0 Posted March 2, 2005 When you overclock your processor, it will need more power. Look in your bios to change the core power a little bit higher. When your processor is locked, then it will be the only way to overclock, when you change the FSB. Some AMD processors are locked, so the multiplier can`t be changed. sry for my english. Placebo 29 Posted March 2, 2005 Whilst we do allow a certain level of tech support questions I think that questions such as this should be directed at a hardware specific forum, there are numerous on the net if you look
