Flugel 0 Posted January 13, 2002 lo.. did u installed the latest drivers of your videocard? have u tried disabeling/changing some options like resolution, renderer (Direct3D with or without T&L)? For somehow, T&L doesnt seem to work fine with OFP.. Direct3D software seems to be more stable/faster. I think this is because OFP was being developed when everyone was waiting for the Voodoo 5 to arrive
BabaZed 1 Posted January 13, 2002 I've downloaded the latest detonatorXP thingy, for my 3d prophet II gts series 32 graphic card, but my graphics driver in ofp prefs says NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/Geforce2 Pro, dont know if this is the latest or where to go to find out, cos nvidia.com just seem to have this detonator thing. Plus i seem to have a strange issue with the plug&play device for my monitor sometimes it says plug&play other times it says Default monitor in System\Hardware\device manager. When it does this change i lose the 85Hz refresh rate down to 60 Hz and theres no optimal refresh rate option anymore (on plug&play and default monitor) the options stay the same whether plug&play or Default monitor. I used to have it on optimal before on the same graphics card but on Millenium and then i had "3D Prophet gts" driver thing (in the ofp prefs)

Brentk 1 Posted January 14, 2002 im not sure that drivers are the problem, Windows 2000 sucks bad for games, but maybe there is a windows update that helps with this.
Wobble 1 Posted January 14, 2002 win2k is fine for games.. BUT make SURE you download the service pack 2 and do this before installing ANY drivers.. if not you WILL have problems
Brentk 1 Posted January 14, 2002 i have had friends and hear all the time that win 2k is a horrible OS for games, maybe because its more NT based??? i dont know, anyway that's just what i am told. I have M.E. and hate it.....
