Acecombat 0 Posted February 1, 2005 Well there were the Americas Army and Full Spectrum Warrior for the US army and now its the Marines turn with FIrst to Fight a new game with a very fresh storyline to it too  Yahoo Games First to Fight page A few screenshots: Quote[/b] ]Military themed video games are nothing new, but those with the official backing of the armed services can still be counted on one hand. As with anything else, having access to the source allows for a greater amount of realism and authenticity. The Army had its 15 minutes of fame with America's Army and Full Spectrum Warrior, but now it's time for the Marines to be the First to Fight. Set in the war-torn city of Beirut, Lebanon, First to Fight is a squad-based first-person shooter which has you leading a four-man fire team on a mission of survival. The Marine aspect comes into play because the game implements "Ready-Team-Fire-Assist" (RTFA), the Marines' battle-tested method of safely clearing out danger zones in an urban environment. No matter which of the four team members the player is controlling, the AI will ensure that the remaining three are using proper tactics. This leaves you free to focus on what's important: Shooting the bad guys. While the computer does an admirable job of keeping the team intact, it is ultimately up to you as the commander to make command decisions. When your team doesn't have active orders from you, it will automatically default to a standard RTFA formation. Because the focus is on the action, chances are you won't be issuing a constant stream of orders. According to developer Destineer, the average player only uses specific orders for about 20 percent of the game. The rest of the time the AI is in control. What do you guys think? To me graphical wise it looks another AA clone somewhat ...
lee_h._oswald 0 Posted February 1, 2005 It's another: "Wow, look at those graphics!" "Wow, look at that high detailed shadows!" "Wow, look at this amazing lightning!" ...crap game. Counter Strike with US "whatever Forces" gameplay, where vehicles are not or very limited usable. Nothing new, so nothing for me. MfG Lee
