submdi 0 Posted January 9, 2005 I have done a lot of searches, and manual scouring of the forums, and so far haven't found anything helpfull. As stated in the title, XML's are not showing up in our dedicated server. They used to, but now, for some reason they don't. However, when I or any of our members go to another server, or host a game, they work fine. So, what I would like to know: Is there a setting that can be added to the config that will allow/dissallow XML's. Or is it simply a firewall issue, like does a certain port need to be open? If so, which one? ( I have been lead to believe port 80 TCP incoming and outgoing should be open), but unable to test this, as my admin access is limited to the game server, not the server machine. Please, if anyone has answers to these issues, please reply. CPL SuB Australasian Task Force www.atfofp.com
benu 1 Posted January 9, 2005 Maybe your webserver does not deliver those files with the right filetype, like application/xml or text/xml? Just guessing here though. But as this stuff gets delivered from the webserver you can exclude the firewall if the rest of the webserver content works.

i0n0s 0 Posted January 13, 2008 Are custom skins and custom sounds working? If not look if the armaserver is owner of the temp folders or has at least read and write rights.

Kirby 2 Posted January 17, 2008 I have the same problem with a server I used to run, and when I host off my PC. No idea what the problem is, but it'll be useful to know what, and if its fixable.

Same problem is we can see our XML tags on other servers except our own, Â I assume it is udp or tcp access by the server? Â Anyone know the fix?
Bandicoot 0 Posted April 25, 2008 Quote[/b] ]The reason for this may be that internet connection is not configured correctly on the server. Server needs to be able to download xml file from Squad URL Â - and for this it needs working internet connection via HTTP protocol. http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....ml+tags Suma answered this for me from the above post. Â I found out my Server provider didn't have HTTP protocol enabled for the folder. Â So its like saying can the Server browse the internet?
