Sniperwolf572 759 Posted December 4, 2004 OK I made an assumption that this should go here but heres the problem: I have an PIONEER DVD-ROM DVD-116 and it worked fine it probably a year ago, then it started to act really strange, it reads some DVD and it won't read some witch is starting to get on my nerve since I tought is generally my mistake but since i saw it every time that it doesn't load DVD it renames DVD ROM in My Computer to CD ROM, I have seen a dozens of exact problems but not a single solution. Placebo 31 Posted December 6, 2004 Sounds like the laser is dirty, or perhaps even damaged, there are some products out there that can clean your laser, usually a CD with small bristles on it, some of them can be rather rough with your laser but it's a cheap thing to try, alternatively if it's still under warranty look into returning it. Sniperwolf572 759 Posted December 6, 2004 Warranty expired about a year ago   , and that kind of CD's you mention is extremely hard to find around here in Sarajevo, I guess I'll have to do it manually .
