OFP crashes with PCI Express video card

Full PC reboot? First of all, make sure to disable auto restart on crash in wondows (if you have XP)

This sounds like a regulation/heating problem actually. Seems like something with voltage regulation is destabalizing under load. Perhaps your card is drawing too much from the motherboard or your PSU is too weak? If you have the ability to try another motherboard/PSU combination, try it.

I have the AGP version of the 6600GT 128MB, stable as a rock on an old K7S5A (well but I fixed the K7 once or twice for regulation)

Try turning off DX sound accelerator...slow sound but no more reboots.

It's the software.

Other newer games ... less trouble sofar

And im getting a board with a 925x chipset :P

i'll try that.
