Gorgi Knootewoot 0 Posted January 14, 2002 In quake style games it is easy to aim without a crosshair. Just put the enemy in the middle of the screen. But it is different with OFP. There that doesn't work. I use the "virtuel sight", but when i shoot i always press the "v"-key to zoom in. Longjocks 0 Posted January 16, 2002 I have the crosshair turned on, but I rarely use it to fire. I always look through the ironsight. But claiming that the use of crosshairs is unrealistic isn't 100% accurate. As someone mentioned earlier, you have no real perception of where your gun is aiming. I'm real life you have the most important sense of 'touch'. This linked with your hand-eye coodination gives you a sense of where you're aiming. So the crosshair compensates for this by giving you a focal point. And in response to what someone else said... yes... you should aim properly before firing, but sometimes you don't have the opportunity. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
