KDog35 0 Posted November 7, 2004 Sorry for posting this very basic question. I've searched the forum and got some good info on how to correct freezes while playing MP. But, how do I get to the BIOS and change them? I don't know what they are; never been. From what I've read, I'm going to try changing the AGP aparature to 32mb (underclocking it) from what I've read. I recently got DSL and now I get freezes and loose connection while playing. Didn't have this problem with Dial-up. Anyway, thanks for the help and please explain in simple terms, thanks Kdog~
Sniperwolf572 758 Posted November 7, 2004 BIOS is the thing when you press DELETE when your PC boots. Altough I suggest you not messing with it unless you really know what are you exactly doing.
feersum.endjinn 6 Posted November 7, 2004 It might also be some other key like F1, ESC or F12. Usually manual that came with your PCs motherboard will tell anything you need to do change settings.
Radnik 18 Posted November 7, 2004 From what I've read, I'm going to try changing the AGP aparature to 32mb (underclocking it) i`m not quite shure about your prob, but as for AGP ASize do next: if your card have 64mb set it to double size, 128mb, but only if you have 256 mb of main memory ... or if your card have 128mb and you have 512mb of main memory, set it to 256mb, but if you have 256mb of main memory leave AGP ASize at 128mb ... benu 1 Posted November 8, 2004 Actually, with graphics cards having this large memory already you could try to turn aperture size really low (my bios does not support turning it off altogether). I did and have no problems. To get into your bios just start your computer and look for a message like "press f2 to enter setup". Most of the times it is the del or f2 key. If you have a manual for your mainboard it should be explained there, along with most/all settings you can change there.
