Sole 0 Posted October 25, 2004 I kinda liked AC04, for your casual simple action flying while sitting on the couch. Not sure if I'll like #5 if it's more of the same... but those screens sure look nice ;) One thing I really liked about AC04 was the music in some missions (yes I know some other missions had rather corny music) Btw, is that stick PC compatible? I've been looking at replacing my old Logitech Wingman Force (had no luck finding one of those old Suncom USB Hotas thingies)
MSpencer 0 Posted October 25, 2004 "Nimitz, this is Big Bird Three on final approach. Calling the ball" *Watches a B52 start compensating for wind 300 feet away from a carrier.* Wow.

BOP_101TFS 0 Posted October 26, 2004 hmm,I love the real air warfare sims: FALCON4,JANES F/A-18 more IMO,the combat simulating, dynamic campaign system and the mission editor. Can't wait for the FIGHTER OPS
pajama 0 Posted October 26, 2004 I highly, highly doubth there well be B-52s landing on carriers unless its some fictional man made island base. Well you never know though as in Ace Combat 3, in the last mission they strap on some boosters to your jet and armed ya with lasers!
FSPilot 0 Posted October 26, 2004 I'm pretty wary of just about everything that comes from G2i after what they did with Falcon 4.0. Â I'll keep an eye on the game though, the graphics aren't that great but it sounds like they'll make up for it in gameplay. Well you never know though as in Ace Combat 3, in the last mission they strap on some boosters to your jet and armed ya with lasers! That's more realistic than you think, actually. We've already got JATO (that is what you mean by "boosters" right?) and they're working on an anti-missile 747 with a laser on it's nose. Pretty sci-fi, right? pajama 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Yes, I know about the standoff laser project...but what I ment by boosters were more in the form of rockets ducktaped onto your aircraft... Quote[/b] ]your custom space shuttle-esque ship is strapped to a rocket to take out satellites To tell ya the truth i never played Ace Combat 3, only the demo. It looks your flight games (including classic Fleet Defender) are all from Microprose But MPS is history ...
pajama 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Bah that sucks, i'm guessing it was never releas here stateside in the US or even any where out of Asia as theres no listings for it. Wow I would really love to try it though! Heh funny how there's one import copy on eBay right now But I highly doubth it well ever be releas here as there is practicly no to a very limited market for pure-semi flight/combat sims for the consals Well time to spam Taito!!! Wow never heard of any game out there that support the Sony HUD VR thingy

If I ever see Hasbro board member who was employed during the period of 1998 - 2002; and endorsed the takeover of microprose; crossing the street. I will not only not stop for him/her. I will speed up. Run them down, then reverse over them repeatedly, turning them to the same pulp that they turned Microprose into when they effictively liquidated the company. I encourage others who enjoyed Microprose's world leading simulations to do likewise. [Hasbro board members must die] Disclaimer note: This is a melodramatic reaction. I do not take responsibility for the actions of others (but it would be nice if they did carry them out anyway), nor do I intend to carry out aforementioned hypothetical. It doesn't really matter when the Hasbro board members of the years 1998 to 2002 die because in the eyes of the sim gods, they are already condemned to the firey depths of hell. Long live Microprose.
pajama 0 Posted October 27, 2004 Just got the game in the mail, the patches were better qoulity then i thought Its nice to see that the dev.s added some features from more advance flight sims One is that in the start of most missions where you start on the ground or off the carrier elivator then to the deck and take off from there. Another that was missing in the previous games was turning when slightly at yaw.
