Escape from prison with the pilot

Ok, as I'm guided to the tent with a BMP infront of it. I jump into the BMP and kill everyone including the T80 (or was it T72?) and the other BMP, and every other soldier. Then I pick up a rifle, steal the Hind and fly back to the base that I've just captured with Armstrong. Happy as ever I walk over to my fellow soldiers (who is american) where they turn around and shoot me dead. Every time.

Ok, new approach then. I eject from the Hind over a forrest and I get the "You're alive but cold, hungry and alone" msg. Then I look at the big dipper and go south, back to the base again (this is the big base btw, wich you capture first with Armstrong) same result - shot dead by teammates. Then I try the smaller forward base wich has one "friendly" soldier, but if I arrive by foot or Hind, he freaks out and shoots me.

So where the h**l do I go? I've also ran by several other empty bases too.

Go South. They shouldn't blow your head off, sounds like some kind of bug. When you're in the Hind and eject over the base, the outro should begin.

They think your an enemy becuase of your chopper maybe?

I'll try ejecting over the base then. Wierd tho, as even if I enter on foot they shoot me. I hope they get nightmares when they discover I'm one of them.

this is kinda strange. When I played this mission, I took the Hind and after flying for a while, there was a jeep about 1 km ahead of me that I had targeted. I then landed after finding some flat ground and then I ran for about 500 m until the cutscene started.

What? The 'you escaped now you're hungry and get to the south' cutscene?

I tried again, no dice. Then I replayed the mission and when I follow the spetznaz leader, I jump into the BMP and shoot a bunch of ppl (the soviets are marked friendly). Then something wierd happends; I'm suddenly in the tent with lots of dead bodies outside (the ones I killed), and the soviets are enemies. So I run back into the bmp, drive to the chopper, kill the pilots heading for it, kill the infs, get into the chopper. After that I've tried ejecting from the hind, landing the hind in camp, landing hind outside running in, you name it. They shows as friendly and I'm not even carrying a gun and they still kill me...

Maybe it's because I kill ruskies when they're 'friendly' the AI thinks I'm a bad guy?

Yeah, the computer puts down Russian kills as friendly. I did the level by killing every1 and even the BMP on the top of hill infront of the US base. Then I step in the compound and get shot. I was was well pissed off! I looked at my kill list and it came up with all the Russians I killed under friendly fire kills.
