--TS--Segal 0 Posted August 14, 2004 Work above the first version config'á is finished. What will it give? 1. Now configs of all official addons will lay in one file and will be loaded from him{it}, instead of from files *.pbo 2. To check necessarily should be exposed: bin\config.cpp - just in case bin\resourse.cpp - just in case res\bin\config.cpp - If on the player there is a message on this file, and on a server such is not present. = 100 % cheat res\bin\resourse.cpp - If on the player there is a message on this file, and on a server such is not present. = 100 % cheat res\bin\config.bin - If on the player there is a message on this file, "maybe" cheat or original, or other language (language) res\bin\resourse.bin - If on the player there is a message on this file, NA info - 70 % cheat. 3. Now correction of a file g36a.pbo it is impossible to change parameters g36a, or other weapon. 4. Conditions! a) If on a server costs{stands} such config.bin and at the player any messages on change at the player should not be. - (90 % not cheater) b) If on a server there is such config.bin, and at the player an ORIGINAL the server will give out about changes in config.bin and/cfg/.../DefaultWorld/SubDivision - (50 % not cheater) c) If on a server costs{stands} such config.bin, and at the player RUSSIAN the server will give out about changes in config.bin and/cfg/.../Intro - (50 % not cheater) d) If at the player does not give out about changes on config.bin (and on others), but gives out about/cfg/... - (100 % cheater as it is possible to change a way to config.bin, for example to rename in config_cheat.bin or that it{he} was loaded from c:\config.bin) P.S> Sorry for my English, im use Promt-XT

sicilian 0 Posted August 15, 2004 Afaik for setting up a global config you need to remove all configs from the original addons. And its not guaranteed that it will work cause such global config will be very long!
--TS--Segal 0 Posted August 15, 2004 > Afaik for setting up a global config you need to remove all configs from the original addons. Anything to delete it is not necessary. > And its not guaranteed that it will work cause such global config will be very long! So in fact works. And the size at him{it} small: config.cpp - 709kb config.bin - 340kb config.bin.rar - 104kb
sicilian 0 Posted August 15, 2004 I didnt mean the file size but the size in memory a 700kb string in memory isn't the best to parse through. And what have you done to be sure it doesn't load the addon configs anymore?
--TS--Segal 0 Posted August 15, 2004 As appeared, parameters which are in \res\bin\config.bin in any way it is impossible to change without editing itself config.bin or process in memory. For test I have changed parameters in \res\addons\g36a.pbo: opticsZoomMin and opticsZoomMax - that range of the review through an optical sight was more, than at SVD. At original \res\bin\config.bin these cheats worked. After I have added parameters from \res\addons\*.pbo in one \res\bin\config.bin, my cheats have ceased to work. Because now all parameters are loaded from \res\bin\config.bin. P.S. Clearly I have explained to you? If is not present, I give to you for test changed g36a.pbo. Try it! files: http://user.rol.ru/~segalik/config.bin.rar - 104kb http://user.rol.ru/~segalik/g36a.pbo.rar - 261kb You will ask: " And for what then this is necessary config.bin? " I shall answer: " I am able to change all parameters of all \res\addons\*.pbo so, what not one server of me will not catch. And where a guarantee, what I not one such?! This config.bin can stop some such as I. " It is certainly better, that they (Maruk or Suma) have made such file.
-IT-Q- 0 Posted August 15, 2004 well i would remove the link to the edited g36.pbo. u could still send ppl the link via pm. well such modifcation is easily done, but u should not offer working cheats.
--TS--Segal 0 Posted August 17, 2004 What is, not to whom more it is not necessary? Or you are afraid, what this way can expose you?
-IT-Q- 0 Posted August 17, 2004 we are still discussing if that really helps, b/c if u do change the path to the config via a cracked/modified exe... in addition this could only be done for league play, b/c its somewhat an addon which is almost impossible to use in the public scene. this might be a good approch, as i said still discussing... benu 1 Posted August 18, 2004 And play on an empty (public) server...
--TS--Segal 0 Posted August 18, 2004 And play on an empty (public) server... nobody say "public" , i mind in tourments fight. While this idea will not be official, nobody speaks "public". official = in new patch!
Gadger 0 Posted August 18, 2004 Maybe it would be better if you took this up with a specific league/ladder? I can't see how this would work in public play.
benu 1 Posted August 18, 2004 If you don't have public servers in mind then it could work. Although Gadger is right, the leagues admins would have to approve of it.
