868 0 Posted July 19, 2004 Hello all, Here is my problem. When I load the game its gives me this message; "Cannot load ..........yadi yada BIS_resistance." Could anyone please tell me which pbo file/folder is the BIS resistance? Thanks in advance.

868 0 Posted July 19, 2004 Nah, I have that. I also copy and pasted from the original CD into my OFP/Res/Addons folder just in case. Weird.
Placebo 29 Posted July 19, 2004 When you load the game or when you load a specific mission? If all else fails uninstall and reinstall
868 0 Posted July 20, 2004 To placebo, It loads a mission. Also, within the mission editor when you choose the class type and the soldier type in the resistance side you dont get the 'Sniper' soldier. I think its due to this BIS_resistance thing.
Mister Frag 0 Posted July 20, 2004 I think it's time for a clean reinstall. Save your user-specific folder with control customizations and Addons folders first, though.
Placebo 29 Posted July 20, 2004 If a usermade mission uses an addon but doesn't specifically list the addon itself in the sqm that pops up the missing addon error, possible it could be that as much as anything else giving you worries, unless of course official missions kick up this error? Of course it never does any harm to reinstall from time to time
theavonlady 2 Posted July 20, 2004 Here is my problem. When I load the game its gives me this message; "Cannot load ..........yadi yada BIS_resistance." "yada yada"? Delete file Seinfeld.pbo. But seriously folks......................... If you remove all of your unofficial addon files from \OFP\Res\AddOns\ and start the game with no mod folders, do you still get this error? If so, then maybe you do need to reinstall. If not, then you have a naughty addon. What version of OFP are you running?
benu 1 Posted July 20, 2004 You have most probably a broken addon. But sadly it is hard to tell which one. You could try moving all addons to the addons folder, that helps in some cases, but not in all. It will most probably NOT be the addon in the message, as that is resistance and the addon dependencies work that way that most of the times a broken addon causes problems with a correct one, ie the broken addon causes problems with bis_resistance.
