addon request: navy seals

Ok some pictures of another new seal unit wink_o.gif

It is the Seal\Devgru units with gas masks.

Also I have started adding some gear to the seals like smoke grenades and handcuffs.

I will add more gear to them  wink_o.gif

The gas mask looks like an MCU-2P, http://www.defend-net.com/gas_masks/ which is accurate for Navy units, but the canister is just a little large, and the outer shell is much too blue. You should lighten it to grey.

nice project extraction, but i hope those kit- textures are only placeholders.

the mix of texture qualities just doesn´t look good to me, sry to say.

what i basically see is puzzled models with fracments from all kind of addons.

Shadow those weapon and many other weapons for the Seal pack is made and still being made by Drill Sergeant wink_o.gif

Shadow can you texture and write cpp files for weapons rock.gif

If yes PM Drill Sergeant and tell him you help us with textures and config.cpp for weapons would save us alot of time wink_o.gif

Sorry, I don't know how to texture anything except BRSSEB's container-tutorial tounge_o.gif

I can write the cpp though.

If that helps, then count me in. I'm not too much into troubleshooting the cpp or too familiar with how its built. I've only made one cpp for a Beretta 92FS and one for my AH-64D with all the weapons.

Yeah Gordy, thats's the Mark V Special Operations Craft, that I mentioned in my first post on this thread. I'll say this much, if you're going to do a modern SEAL mod, it wouldn't really be complete without this boat.

The DPV is neat, of course, but the Mark V is practically a necessity. It might be a bit much to expect a Mark V to be able to launch a RHIB, due to the game engine ( Not that I'd know, of course. Seems everything else can be done, one way or another. ) limitations, but it would certainly be cool, and realistic.

it's possible to launch it certainly, but without the sliding down animation... but the boat on the vessel will dissapear (hidden) and then a new one will appear in the water next to the vessel - then give the player the option to transfer men across to the rib... its basically how the bas chinook cargo is done the one in cargo isnt the same one you drove in wink_o.gif

You're crapping me, aren't you? Well, I knew that cargo scripts would allow helo's to carry boats and land vehicles, I just figured this would be harder for some reason. 'Course I don't pretend to understand the magic scripters can conjure out of the game engine. But if you're telling me that you can do what you just said, given a new Mark V model, of course, then that's awesome indeed.

Would it be possible to adapt the Tiger gunboats, or that new gun boat with multiple guns, to simulate a Mark V closely? Bearing in mind, I don't know anything about modeling either, could those existing models be easily lengthened a little to carry a full twelve-man squad? Additional crew would be great to man the guns, of course, but I'd just be happy with the boat to get my shark-men into or out of Indian Country in one piece.

So we got ourselves the most irresistable and wanted vehicle addon to be made.

I can model, but I know sh... about texturing a vehicle.

well, the 'cargo' script is, as i understand it, just a modeled jeep attached in the chinook but hidden and u can drive through it... then when u attach the jeep, it appears, and the other one dissapears for a while...

of course i could be very wrong, but its not how it works that matters, it just means the same can be done with a boat in essence - klinkers was trying something similiar with lifeboats.

Heh! This is just getting better and better. ANd soon it seems like my precious AC-130U will also be available for CAS, when the green-faces get jumped by the badguys.

Is it possible you guys could script is so that the seals could carry bodies by either dragging them or slinging them over a shoulder? Even dead ones?

It is possible in the pack Pappy Boyington and I make USCG Pack we got on the cutter a zodiac and a RHI boat that can be deployed from cutter and also you can pick em up from sea too but as I said I dont have the time YET for a Mark V Special Operations Craft.

Maybe after most things are finished I will think about it wink_o.gif

But no promise tounge_o.gif

Well ECP Mod showed 2/3 months ago some pictures off carry dead bodies and wounded soldiers but since than no update they are or still working on the next version of ECP Mod or they are abonded it rock.gif

I am a noob at making new anims and writing scripts sad_o.gif

If someone can make it I will add it in Seal config also I am thinking adding the handcuff script but it is too soon now once final pack is close to release I will ask permission to use it wink_o.gif

Good idea I will look into the soldiers matthijs released some time ago you had a option to take of helmet and put it back will look into it wink_o.gif

And it would also be best to be able to remove the swimmers dive gear, and the HALO jumper's O2 mask, kit bag, parachute, and maybe helmet.

I will try it have never made animated goggles or NVG or anything that you remove and put back on so no promise will do my best wink_o.gif
