Fork122 0 Posted June 29, 2004 I think OFP2 should have more realistic grenades where they will not explode the instant they hit the ground.  That also would give us the ability to "cook" grenades, so we could still get the effect of the grenade blowing up right away. There should also be the option to either roll the grenade along the ground, or to throw the grenade into the air.  Another option there could be on the action menu would be to possibly throw the grenade back depending on how much time was left on the fuse.  I'm not really sure what the realistic timing of grenades is in real life but I'm sure someone on these forums knows   We could even have duds, like in Black Hawk Down where the three grenades thrown are duds, but that could get pretty complicated. Also more realistic M203s would be great.  In America's Army the M203 grenades will only explode after about 10m. I believe the same is for M136s and other missles.  I don't want to compare America's Army to a game like Flashpoint though. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
IceFire 0 Posted June 30, 2004 Why not? Â Americas Army is a very realistic game. It is more realistic than Operation Flashpoint in terms of the hand grenade and M203 grenade physics though. In AA, you can pull out the grenade, pull the pin on the grenade when you like, release the spoon to start the timer(cooking) whenever you like, and throw whenever you like(Don't hold it too long or it will go off in your hands). If you pull out a hand grenade without pulling the pin, you can put it back and hold the M-16 again. Â But if you pull the pin, you are stuck holding it until you release the spoon and throw it, or just plain throw it. Not only that, they can bounce around too. Operation flashpoint should use that.
