Mister Frag   0 Posted June 24, 2004 Are you behind a router, i.e. do you have a local IP address (typically 192.168.x.x)? Are both of you using the same network implementation, either Sockets or DirectPlay?
ScÅ•th-Siorrai   0 Posted June 25, 2004 I have a public ip and a local one like everyone I don't know about network implementation I left it the way it was
Mister Frag   0 Posted June 25, 2004 Not everybody has separate local and public IP addresses. In any event, the people trying to connect to your server must enter your public IP address, and you must forward the UDP ports used by OFP to the PC that is acting as a server. Furthermore, you must use compatible versions of OFP on the server and clients (I would strongly suggest identical version numbers), and you must choose a network code implementation, either Sockets or DirectPlay, and use it on both sides. Since you don't know which one you are currently using, that's probably the first thing you should check.
