zirigui_BOOM 0 Posted June 9, 2004 sometimes, simply i can´t interact in the game... my shots whith any weapon don´t cause any damage, even i "see" blood or the explosion cause the shot... i can´t get in vehicles and most of the times, after some minutes, i be come a "ghost"... this problems happens just in multiplayer, whith or whitout mods or addons installed... also, it happens with 30/40 pig and 0 of desync... whtih Direct x 8 or 9...i have the latest video driver installed.. i reinstaled the ofp 3 times, and int the 3 times it happens... i have a pIV, 1.6 512 ram 40gb hd mobo asus pIV s333vm Gforce4 ti 4200 windows xp Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

zirigui_BOOM 0 Posted June 21, 2004 i never finished a MFCTI cause this... always in MFCTI this strange things happens.. for other view, its a cheater, cause the others can´t see me and i can looking for the base in all island but i didn´t like this "cheater".. maybe packets of data are losted... but ever? and why just with me? anyway, you know what ports have to be openned for ofp in MP? i´ll check this tonight... tks! Mister Frag 0 Posted June 21, 2004 AvonLady's OFP FAQ has that information, but I don't think that's the problem -- if the ports aren't open, you wouldn't be able to play, period. One possibility is buggy router firmware, or an MTU size that is too large. The MTU (Maximum Transfer Unit) size determines at which point a block of data is broken up into two or more packets, and negotiating the MTU size between two systems requires a protocol that relies on ICMP PING packets, which are ignored by many routers. Not responding to the request will cause long delays and/or connection resets. If you are on a PPPoE connection, packet fragmentation is even more likely, since all data frames must be wrapped in an additional header. Use the DSL Reports Tweak Test page to run a test of your network configuration, and make adjustments as needed. If you are behind a hardware router or a cable/DSL modem with built-in firewall/router, check to see if there are firmware upgrades available, and apply them if needed.
