Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted June 23, 2004 *sniff* Â ok, the Italians played bad and some of them are grease-haired pimps but cmon... I hope the Russian referee will be hung by his balls and beaten to death with a large salami while being roasted in a good aglio-olio sauce! It sure aint fun to be half German half Italian during this championship...everybody hates us. Weak jealousy towards true and old kingdoms of football I guess... And as for the Scandinavians gloating: Could you please stick with typical sports like icehockey or skiing? No, the italians have nothing to complain about. First you complain because the spitting pictures were shown on TV, Then you decide to sue the Media. Then Totti on a press meeting sais "I am undervalued, I am much better than all of you". Then they accuse the SCANDINAVIANS to be CORRUPT. And then they are surprised that the world laughs at the italian complaints? Man, get real. You team could have scored more goals... if the Ref doesnt give you the penalty, tough luck, try again.!!! Funny enough a country with a corrupt president, a corrupt state-department and police accuses the most incorruptable countries to have cheated. Thats realy a yoke. If you want 100% of fair rules then play chess!
Longinius 1 Posted June 23, 2004 Quote[/b] ]And as for the Scandinavians gloating: Could you please stick with typical sports like icehockey or skiing? Feeling threatened? Hehe. Come on man, its a game, its supposed to be fun! Don't take it so serious.
Postduifje 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Congrats to Sweden and Denmark! If that was a conspiracy, then it was really well setup . Didn't see the Italian game, but it's a shame they got kicked out since they showed some great football in the match against Sweden. Now for the Swedish guys, who would you rather play; Germany, Netherlands or Latvia? Those games tonight will be really exciting.
SpeedyDonkey 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Latvia. We lost 1-0 to them in an embarrassing qualifying game I’m sure that the Swedish team is hungry for a revenge now. But since that is a bit unrealistic and I believe it is either Germany or Netherlands I would have so say Germany. I think Netherlands type of game doesn't suit us at all (They play a more offensive type of game, like Denmark)
shrike 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Sheesh Albert I was only kidding anyway. And where did I accuse anybody of cheating? I merely stated the incompetence of the referee, a point which I'm sure 99.99% of those who watched yesterday's game agree on. lol I'm not even a real football fan, far from it actually. Oh and btw tonight it will be "my" team as well that's the beauty of having two nationalities. I hope your comments will be as critical and witty as the one above when it comes to judging the German performance tonight. Â
Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted June 23, 2004 Sheesh Albert I was only kidding anyway. Dont get me wrong... it might have sounded harsh but I am not too serious about that too. My blood pressure is okay and my aura has a pretty equilibrated greenish sphere-color. So I am in a good mood and stay that way. Only parking fines and complaints about swiss cheese realy make me angry. Â Penalty Game
Screw 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Mister Schweizer Funny enough a country with a corrupt president, a corrupt state-department and police accuses the most incorruptable countries to have cheated. Thats realy a yoke. LOL, Italians are bad losers, go home motherf..... Schweizer If you are german good luck for your team, you are our friends in Europe. Maybe France vs Germany in final? i hope this.

denoir 0 Posted June 23, 2004 If you read a bit what they're saying in the Italian media, you'll see that they are far more pissed at their own team than prone to conspiracy theories. I almost feel sorry for their team. As Italians by default expect them to win every tournament and they take the sport seriously, they're not very kind to losers. Personally I would have rather had the Italians in the quarters than the Danish..but hey, that's life. The Italians can take confort in that they can now fully enjoy the sport rather than worrying about their own team.
Postduifje 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Denoir's UEFA Euro 2004 Predictions.------------------------------------------------------------- So far correct: 45% (10/22 games) Next game (predicted winner in bold): LAT-NED CZE-GER ------------------------------------------------------------- denoir, if your predictions come true I'm a very happy person

smogmorph 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Quote[/b] ]Now for the Swedish guys, who would you rather play; Germany, Netherlands or Latvia? Hopefully Germany.. Yes.. they have a tough game ahead of them but I've heard the Czhechs(spelling?) have decided to rest some of their stars. The Netherlands would be a nightmare, their defenders, midfielders AND attackers are all better than ours. On the other hand us Swedes usually performs better when we are up to a tougher challange. Latvia is probably the easiest opponent, our defence would have no problem erasing Verpakovski out of the game. But will they beat The Dutch?.. nah..
bonko the sane 2 Posted June 23, 2004 ROFLMAO....you couldn't write that shit if you tried....i was in hysterics when Cassano scored in the last minute and ran joyfully to the touchline expecting to be the hailed as the savior of Italy only to be greated with the news that it was a 2-2 draw in the Sweden - Denmark match....an absolute classic!! Har f*ckin har Bravo  I can just imagine the scenes had it been England who would have suffered Italy's fate. Guimaraes would be a pile of smouldering rubble after the match... u just try that...we have tens of thousands of portuguese bad boys on standby if some knob head hooligans start messing about

stgn 39 Posted June 23, 2004 I belive in the conspiry theoris our goalkeeper had to give Sweden two goals so we wouldent have to play the Italiens later in the turnament(then they might actualy be capabel of playing football). STGN

Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted June 23, 2004 stop hoping. Better prepare yourself mentally so you wont be too shocked tonight after the match.
WhoCares 0 Posted June 23, 2004 Netherlands : Latvia 2-1 Germany : Czech Republic 3-1 The midfield triumvirate of Pavel Nedved, Tomás Rosický and Karel Poborský together with striker Jan Koller are having a rest. It is of no interest for the team to risk injuries, so they will be 'careful', which will leave the german team the time and the room it needs. Schade Holland, alles ist vorbei, alles ist vorbei, alles ist vorbei...
Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted June 23, 2004 Incorrect WHOCARES. The opposite will happen. The second brigade of the Czechs will try to show what they are able to do in order to get a better status in the national team. And they will risk injuries since they are mainly substitute players. And the czecks are still dangerous.
Postduifje 0 Posted June 23, 2004 stop hoping. Better prepare yourself mentally so you wont be too shocked tonight after the match. I have no real hopes, only distant dreams. I had the shock already after the match against Czech, but it wasn't too bad since the game was so good. After that, all hope was gone and I settled for elimination in the poule with (at least) 1 good match. Noone can expect from the Czechs tonight to play an active match, but if for some strange reason whatsoever it turns out for the best, I'm a happy man
WhoCares 0 Posted June 23, 2004 @Albert: It is not the full team, that is substituted, but mostly the key creative players. This will seriously hamper the offense. And while the substitudes might give 110%, they won't be able to play at the level of Nedved and Poborský vs. Holland. And the other (not substituted) players are already set and they won't risk injuries or red cards. All in all, I would expect C.R. at ~90% of the Holland game and that won't be enough, not even for Germany.
