Bmp2 help!

Trying to run the Christmas winter mission in the FDF mod and on the briefing section it pops up an error saying cant load this file. Anyone know ehat Im missing? I have the russian weapons and winter terrain installed per the readme instructions.

Does the mission still work if you click through the error message?

It seems to. As far as I can tell. Is this common? (to get error messages that dont mean anything?). Just trying to get the perfect OFP install so I can image my disk (backup).

Somewhat. It usually happens for one of these reasons:

1. You don't have enough RAM and OFP didn't map an addon.

2. An error in an addon's config.

Usually, the only problem that can occur from this is that you might miss some cutscenes.

Is there a way to check the config? Where is it?

ive had "pointless error" messages for 2.9 years. its part of the game for me. lets me know my game still works

I was going to direct you to the FDFs forum pages where this question comes up quite a lot, but just checking now I cant see any examples.....

anyhow, the quick answer is no, you dont miss anything in the mission or the cut scenes.  I forget why....

It is a bug in FDFMod 1.0 and 1.1 which was corrected in 1.2. Also missions made with all version before 1.2 were affected and will complain about "Missing addon BMP2".

Older missions can be fixed by opening them in mission editor, previewing them and then saving again.

To me that happenend also with BMP2 but when i clicked "ok" nothing seemed to be wrong.
