Upcoming lost brother addons

Eh...Special Ops... Commandos.... same thing. It's all good.

Also...before anyone says it, no these guys are NOT based on the OFrP French Foreign Legion Commandos. The Goggles are totally different and were tinted by Calm Terror and the head cover was made ages ago by Vipersheart. I believe the headcover textures are the same ones Vipersheart used in the making of the HK pack.

The new Sinai ver 1.4 is I think about ready for release.

Also good news... we FINALLY GOT A NEGEV LMG!!! This MG is the main Light Machine Gun used by the Israeli armed forces. Below are some pics:

Yoffi,

Could you tell me if you have versions of Negev addon with other ammo magazines like from M16? Is this addon JAM2 compatibile? Can you post a screenshot of Negev's ironsight?

Ps. I don't know why but something messes up hebrew letters in messages sad_o.gif Anyway are you working on Jeep Sufa and Rhino or Abril? I really would like to see those two first armored cars in Mishtara camo as well as Tzahal biggrin_o.gif

Your Negev looks very good! What's about Negev with bipods it's more common in TZAHAL.

One more thing. Your m113 is too high, it's real hight is only 2m!

I'm am complety reworking the M113 I made for Lobo a while ago.

I will check if it is too high or so wink_o.gif

It will be released as a seperate pack by me with 3 versions in it.

those will be very usefull for me.

Here is a screenshot of the M730 in its current state.

At this moment the model and skins are in very early alpha status, alot still has to be done on it.

For the M113 series.. those will be shown when its completly skinned.

One more: what's about LoBo's Magach6, the real one has no side skirts.

The Negev right now is currently in commando configuration in which often the bipod is preplaced by a front pistol grip. However yes, the regular version will get a bipod.

Currently it has its own ammo, but the final version will accept JAM 2.0 ammo from the M249. We may also perhaps make it where it can use M16 ammo however, it would be difficult to make the animated ammo belt (and ammmo container) as a hidden texture that would disappear and be replaced by an M16 mag, so more then likely we will just have it where it only uses the 200 rnd 5.56mm regular and high dispersion (HD) JAM ammo that the M249 Minimi uses.

Right now no plans for a Rhino, however we will be making some of the jeeps featuring M40 recoiless rifles and Negev's mounted on them that IDF Special Ops units use.

We also have some Humvees that also will likely be made with both M240 and Negev versions.

As for the Magach tank, some Magach tanks do have armored sideskirts. It depends on the version. It is true that usually the early Magach 6 models, with the ERA boxes, do not have the sideskirts and the sideskirts we have are a little too low. However there were a few intermediate Magach 6 variants that did have sideskirts. The later Magach 6B Gal Batash also does have sideskirts. That one is also in our addonpack #2. However we still need to remodel the turret and also remodel the sideskirts to make it more accurate. We also will most likely remove the sideskirts from the earlier Magach 6 with the ERA.

Finally we hope that after Vixer finishes with the Zeldas and M730, that he can help us fix up the Gal Batash turret and make a Magach 7C turret. The Magach 7C is currently the most modern Magach variants in the IDF inventory as far as I know. There are the Sabra and Sabra II tanks but to my knowledge, those are export only tanks that are not used by the IDF normally.

the m113 is the same hieght as the bis one.

it would think it is only like 2 meters or so.

um that screen shot is of the old beta i alreayd made the commando and bi pod verisions of the negev.

and added an acog 4x sight. more will be added later.

as for ammo's it is jam complaint but sicne ther eis no jam 150rd it has an default lobo ammo with 150rd's both in hd and normal but it cna take 150rd lobo, 200rd m249 jam. as for hte m16 mag that is rare and needs an adapter. it can tho take straight galil mags wich are usual 35rd's.. but i will make an negev that takes the jam m16 ammos as well as the galil ammo. it will be mainly an cqb weapon due to haivng the but stock folded in and only have the foreword grip and no bipod.

oh and there should eb a few verisions with an laser pointer.

as well as on the helos (mh60's) will have the negev instead of the m240.

the m113's won't really cuz from what i cna tell is the negev has not been issues as the mounted weapon on them except for the side guns (wich are pointless in ofp)

I still think that your m113 is too high. Take a look at COMBAT's APC it's smaller and looks like the real one.

The Combat M113 is also alot more detailed in its model...but also very different looking in many ways to the IDF M113's.

At any rate, we did ask Combat for permission to use and modify their command M113, however so far we have not gotten permission.

Just out of curiosity are any of you guys current or former IDF soldiers?

I'm not in the army but I have a lot of friends who are fighting for their motherland in Gaza now. Also I study near an army base and every day see all the variety of our weapons.

As for cars, I am still curious why are you not making one of the most famous israeli armoured car Jeep Sufa, which is very common on the streets of Yesha. I am also curious about famous israeli APCs like Achzarit, will you make it in next versions of your pack?

As for Sabra, yes it is being produced by Ramat HaSharon factory for export (like those offered to Turkey)

Talking about soldiers, no, I m sorry but I m not defending my country, but it is only due to my poor health sad_o.gif. But sure I have several friends who serve in Sayerets.

Well the reason why we don't have a Rhino or jeep Sufa or Achzarit is because we are short of addon makers. We have primarily relied on the generosity of other addon makers and mod teams to help us make our packs. However we do have Vixer and he did a fine job with our Zeldas and is currently doing an amazing job upgrading our Zelda pack to be even better. He is also, of coarse doing the Chapparal which likewise is coming out very nicely.

But due to our limited number of addon makers/editors, we have to set priorities. Currently our main priority is to update our Magach tank models. We already have most of Addon pack #3 ready to go actually and it will be as big, if not bigger then the last pack as it will include many new helicopters and aircraft.... but we are still waiting for permission to use some of the addons that we modified.

Some mod teams are very difficult to get ahold of, but I have pretty good relations with most of them and their team members so hopefully they'll give us permission. (OFrP, BAS, and BOH).

You can look foward to new HALO soldiers for the IDF as well.

I would LOVE to see a Achzarit in OFP also as I think its one of the coolest APC's in exhistence. But it will take awhile before we get to that.

I was just asking if you guys were affiliated with the IDF because we're always looking for military advisors for our team.

But also I should warn you that you may not like some of my upcoming missions as I'm also doing two Egyptian missions.

One of the goals of the mod was to show both sides of such a conflict.

One is a anti-tank ambush that showcases our AT-3 Sagger and the Ra'ad T tandem warhead variant. The IDF forces get destroyed in that mission if you finish it successfully as a Egyptian Republican Guard RPG soldier. It also has lots of "Death to the Zionist Aggressor" type stuff in order for it to be realistic so don't take any of it personally...and remember its based on a fictional future war between Israel and Egypt in which Israel conducts a preemptive strike into the Sinai as Egyptian armor forces begin to cross into the Sinai in violation of past peace treaties which prohibit Egyptian heavy armor from entering certain zones of the Sinai.

The second mission is however is a anti-terrorist mission that I'm still working on where, as part of the Egyptian Task Force 777 team, you hunt down Al-Qaeda terrorists who were responsible for attacking Israeli tourists on a coastal city in the Sinai.

That mission isn't part of the campaign and is more of a current events mission. I might even make it a joint Egyptian/IDF special ops mission in which Egyptians kill and capture terrorists in the Sinai, but where there information points to terrorists located in Jordan...this then leads to a Part II mission where you play IDF HALO commandos who conduct a high-altitude insertion into Jordan where they are tasked with attacking and destroying a desert terrorist camp while also avoiding Jordanian security forces in order to avoid an embarassing incident. Extraction would probably be by CH-53 or MH-60.

Aside from the Egyptian missions however I'm also doing a IDF hostage rescue mission thats coming out well. Its very challenging to avoid hostage deaths. It is based on the Sinai version 1.4 map that will be coming out soon and takes place in the airport terminal (which uses the mapfacts airport pack)

Terrorists are positioned in all areas of the terminal making it very tricky to conduct entry without taking casualties. There are also boobie trapped areas using the mapfacts AP mines.

I may also do an Israeli version of the AT Ambush mission in which you must struggle to survive a horrific ambush and then rally your troops to take out Egyptian ATGM positions before capturing a small town.

Miles i think you mean saudi arabia since jordan on the sinai map is only a small sliver and saudi arabia is the rest.

as for the negev. there will be a few verisions.

but there will be an commando verision that can fire m16 and galil ammo

Ok, now I understand. Several months ago i tried to make Sufa in o2, but I m not good at modeling and I think I dont have this sense of 3d designer sad_o.gif so I never finished this model. But I hope you find someone who would make addons of Sufa, Rhino and Achzarit. smile_o.gif Cant wait to play such addons biggrin_o.gif.

As for campaign, to be honest I dont play campaigns couse I find them dull and boring. I only play MP coop missions or those I make. I ve never finished Resistance campaing or BAS Tonal (just played maybe 3 missions of each). The only interesting campaign was that of FDF mod, and maybe you should make two separate campaigns for each side as I find more interesting playing campaigns designed for one side than one campaign with mixed missions for each side.
