Best way of editing sides of an existing model?

Recommended Posts

Hi there.

I have a civilian model that I would like to change dramatically. I don't just mean a wee scale or transform job, but a full deformation.

I'm having trouble getting to grips with some aspects of o2.

Whenever I press F4 (select vertex) and select vertices from the FRONT of the object with a selection rectangle, I notice vertices from the BACK of the object are being selected too. I realise it is obvious that would happen, but it is annoying smile_o.gif

How can I select only a single side of an object? Do you recommend "hiding" the back sides, and then selecting only the visible vertices, or is there a more elegant way?

Regards,

select the front vertices and then from the side view deselect the back vertices by selecting them while holding ctrl & shift.

Also if you already have vertices selected, you can add more to the selection by selecting them while holding ctrl.
