Ofp's overall performance

Recommended Posts

Another good thing you can do is setting the mipmap LOD to negative.

You can do this with vga tuning tools like "atuner" or similar.

It makes ofp look a lot sharper.

@Lee

Definately going to try this tonight.

I always figured my computer could handle more - but it makes sense that the changing of models back and forth would cause a little lag, with the computer having to decide constantly on the fly which model to use and swap it out, etc. Also, excited to try out lowering the texture heap. I've kept it at 16, assuming higher is better.

I'll let you know how it goes tonight.

I made those changes to the config, and I will say this:

I didn't notice a real improvement in lag, however, it also didn't decrease it. BUT it looks a hell of a lot better. So getting the extra beauty at no performance hit = a winning combination in my book.

Thank you Lee for a hint. smile_o.gif

My game looks now better without lag. In fact, if you enable antialising too the game looks hell of a better.

Strange, I downloaded the latest aTuner available (1.7.59.5304 ), and instead of numerical Mip-Map LOD Bias scale I got a "good-worse-worst" scale, so I coudn't set the value U recommened.

Obviously, U have another (older) version...

Can U please, upload it here? Thanx
