Bronco all terrain tracked vehicle

Recommended Posts

As most of the regulars here know, making a tracked vehicle addon with see-thru windows is problematic enough as it is... now with an additional towing script in order for the rear carriage to be added, things are never as complicated as ever.

The towing script that was released to the community some time back was for a wheeled vehicle at the rear. I need to know if the parameter "type=rotation" (with reference to 'class animations') can somehow be changed to adopt track animations instead as you all would have known that the Bronco's rear carriage is also tracked (see http://www.mindwavemedia.com/warchamber.shtml ).

Ideas, Advice & Suggestions will all be greatly welcomed as any constructive contribution(s) pitched will greatly accelerate the overall development and thereby prompting an earlier public release date (hopefully).

Thanks!

I've considered animating a track (asides a factory tank track)

I think it could be done with some texture swapping, to simulate moving and make some of the track jiggle some.

Bratty,

Do you happen to have some sample codes or perpaps a work-in-progress demo? If not, would you like to help me out on in this aspect? smile_o.gif

Let me know (you can email me via my website)... thanks !

I can't see any other way of animating a track other than Bratty's suggestion of swapping textures to simulate it.
