bmgarcangel 0 Posted January 10, 2004 In the snow season of 1998-1999 Mt Baker, near Bellingham ( the city I live in ) in Washington state recieved the record snow fall ever recorded. 1,140 inches of snow The WORLD RECORDS for both seasonal total snowfall and snowfall for one winter season were broken in 1989-1999 at the Mt. Baker Ski Area. The National Climate Extremes Committee determined that the 1998-1999 snowfall of 1,140 inches at Mount Baker topped the previous record of 1,122 inches set at Mount Rainier in the winter of 1971-1972. ********************************************** Advertisement ********************************************** Wana vacation?? bmgarcangel 0 Posted January 10, 2004 lol most of the time if its a good year the cascade mountians get more snow then any other play in the USA and even alaska and canada......... But think of it ya know 1,140 inches of snow thats what 95 feet  I passed by that spot a few times during that one winter........i'd say along the road, the cliff of snow got about 40 feet higher than it is in that pic......in that picture its about 50 feet Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
